Book Tag! I'm it.

Both *J* and Hardy tagged me for the book thing, so here 'tis:

1. Total number of books I've owned:
I love books. I love to read books, I love to touch books, and I love to buy books. I love all kinds of books: political, spiritual, educational, poetic, erotic, you name it. I have no idea how many I actually own...probably 1000s.

2. I can never buy just one book. I used to buy a lot of books online, but I discovered that part of the adventure of reading is the actual trip to the bookstore and the "discovery" of the book. My last trip to the bookstore (last Tuesday), I bought:

3. The Last Book I read:
I usually read several at the same time, but the last two I actually finished cover to cover were The Loving Dominant and God Wears Lipstick.

4. 5 books that mean something to me.
Only 5!??? Almost impossible for me. This one is very, very difficult for me to answer. I have a tendency to want to list things I've read recently, but I'm forced to really think back to books that made an impact on me.
5. Tag 5 people and request they fill this out on their journals
It's hard to figure out who's been tagged already and I don't know many people online yet. So, for what it's worth, here's my list...("Tag, you're it!")

Gabby,
I feel the same way about books... can't even imagine how many I've owned. Of course, most of them are up in my attic... hehe

I've never read the Story of O - will you let me know what you think of it?

Yes, I will. So far it's a pretty easy read, but I have issues with it. I'm still so new to the whole concept of real submission and what it means. Sometimes the book seems to endorse brutality for the sake of brutality...so far the whole D/s relationship (in real life) seems to be based more on love and reciprocated need. I'm not sure if that makes sense...

Thank you for tagging me! Unfortunately blogger is being a bitch and I can't get in there to post...I'm like you about books gabby,i can't get enough--- i'm a book whore.

And i found your comments on story of O most interesting; i agree with you. The story of O is deeply disturbing to me, i would be curious to talk with you when you've finished it. (i don't want to give anything away)
Do you know the story of the real author? Cause that's interesting too.

So why am I 'O', you might wonder? two reasons
1. The roundness and openness of the letter itself, symbolising..well, you know. Openness.

2. My lover is P. I've named myself 'O' in his honour, to commemorate the fact that O always comes before P.
(wink)
cheers, O

I love your explanation for being O! You're very clever.

I really look forward to reading your post on books. And, yes, I'd love to discuss Story Of O with you when I'm finished. I should have some time to finish it up by Friday (busy, busy week). I have only very vague info on the author...I know she didn't come forward for a very long time. Do tell...

oh i'll write you an email darling about it later tonight--must run now..
i did answer the book tag, tho you may be disappointed, its not particularly interesting i don't think--but i highly recommend the Anais Nin, to everyone.
It's in the sidebar under booktag as i didn't want to interrupt the 'flow' of my main narrative...
will love to discuss the story of O with you when you're done! i'll write re: author info later (I have a class...)

Gabby,

Thanks for the tag, but I'm afraid I'll have to pass this time. Unfortunately, almost 100% of my reading is professional material directly related to my specialty. And that is a bigger clue to who I am than I choose to put online.

Ez

BTW, concerning you blog pic...really nice legs.

Okay Gabby... you've been tagged again. Blame Lady Calliah, she started this one.
